Mont Blanc Hélicoptère Bretagne is an organisation approved by the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile (French Civil Aviation Authority) and offers a range of training courses to suit your budget and schedule. From initiation to private pilot training to night flying and type rating training, we have five helicopters at your disposal as well as a facility entirely dedicated to learning how to fly a helicopter.

Introductory flight for pilots

Before beginning your training to become a private helicopter pilot, we advise you to undertake an introductory flight. This initial contact with the machine an ideal approach and allows the trainee to quickly become aware of the pleasure and finesse of piloting a helicopter. This initial flight can subsequently be counted as part of your training.

Private pilot training (PPL-H)

Mont Blanc Hélicoptères Bretagne offers a variety of personalised training courses that can be tailored to suit your schedule and budget. These courses are given all year round by professional pilot instructors.

PPL-H Licence holder privileges: private helicopter pilots may perform the role of pilot in command without remuneration on any helicopter for which they are qualified, whether or not it carries passengers.

Professional pilot training (CPL-H)

After obtaining a private pilot licence (PPL-H) and a period of “maturation”, you will be able to access professional pilot training.

Details of the training:

Practical course:
The practical courses always consist of a briefing, a pre-flight visit, the flight and a debriefing. This method makes it possible to optimise and organise the lessons according to the difficulties or facilities encountered. The trainee must complete a minimum of 35 hours of flight, 20 hours of VFR, 10 hours of VSV / 5 hours for holders of a valid IR(A), and 5 hours of night flight training (except for holders of night flight clearance).

Admission requirements:
– Be at least 18 years old
– Hold a Class 1 medical certificate
– Have passed the commercial pilot theory exam conducted in an EASA certified organisation (contact on request)
– Have a minimum of 155 flying hours

You are already a pilot and would like to fly a new type of helicopter. Mont Blanc Hélicoptères Bretagne offers you training for qualifications such as:

Night flying

Offering two illuminated runways, Vannes aerodrome is open every evening until 22:30. You will have access to an infrastructure that is dedicated to night flying.
